She was born in Passaic, N.J., daughter of the late Ralph Allan and Anna (Siminisky) Scott. She was married to James Thompson, Charles Claar and Joseph Fleischer, all of whom preceded her in death.
Surviving are two daughters: Jeanne Yingling (husband, Barry) of Claysburg and Lenora Wilson (husband, Kent) of Williamsburg RR 1; three sons: George Thompson (wife, Markeeta) of Claysburg, Peter Thompson (wife, Kathy) of Gettysburg and Paul Thompson (wife, Allison) of King, N.C.; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ruth Thompson; and a sister, Barbara Hric.
Mrs. Fleischer was a member of Puzzletown Road Bible Church, Newry.
She retired as an elementary school teacher from the Claysburg-Kimmel School District after 20 years of service. She previously taught at the Paterson and Totawa (N.J.) school districts.
Mrs. Fleischer was a graduate of Passaic (N.J.) High School, where she was class valedictorian, Newark (N.J.) Teacher's College and received a master's degree in elementary education from Penn State University.
She was a former member of the New Jersey Education Association, Pennsylvania State Education Association, National Education Association and the Hollidaysburg YMCA Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Fleischer had many friends and family that have been a blessing in so many ways.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel at Homewood at Martinsburg with Pastor Lynn F. Johnston and Pastor Gerald W. McCuller Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at Claysburg Union Cemetery.
The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Cancer Society or your local Humane Society.
