Betty Ann Brashear, 63, of Clyde, died Friday at an Abilene hospital. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Bible Baptist Church in Clyde with Rev. Louis Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey-Howard Funeral Home. Betty was born January 22, 1946, in Memphis, Texas, to Boyd Scivally and Rachel Carter Scivally. She grew up in Odessa and was a 1963 graduate of Ector High School. She married Bobby Brashear in Odessa on May 27, 1963. They came to Clyde from Odessa in 1974. Betty was a devoted housewife and mother and never met a stranger. She was a Baptist. Betty is survived by her husband, Bobby; one daughter, Rachel Moss and husband Brian; one son, Nathan Brashear and wife Leslie, all of Clyde; her mother, Rachel McAdoo of Robert Lee; a brother, Bobby Scivally of Muskogee, OK; two sisters, Janice Carthel of Hobbs, NM, and Shirley Davidson of Robert Lee; and nine grandchildren Ashley Brashear, Katie Brashear, Laken Brashear, Tristen Brashear, Jaden Brashear, Londen Brashear, Britten Brashear, Casey Bresnahan, and Skye Nall. Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home.
