"Herman Schultz Former Shawano Sheriff, Dies Here"
Herman A. Schultz, 64, 335 Fifth avenue, former sheriff of Shawano county died at 5:20 o'clock this morning at the Langlade County Memorial Hospital after an illness of two weeks.
Mr. Schultz served as sheriff of Shawano county in 1921 and 1922. He was a railroad worker in his early life, and later became a tavernkeeper, retiring from that occupation two years ago.
Born Oct. 27, 1884 in Manitowac, Mr. Schultz spent his boyhood near Cooperstown. He moved to Polar at the age of 12, and was married Nov. 30, 1907 to Ethel Goodwill at Phlox. He then went to Shawano county, living there until six years ago when he came to Antigo.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Alois Zeman, Bonduel; one son Marvin, Leopolis; seven grandchildren; and two brothers, George Schultz, Polar and William Schultz, Lilly. Preceding him in death were one son in infancy, and a brother, Carl of Lilly.
