Gemma E. Schuh, 81, of Lancaster, PA, passed away after fighting a long illness on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center of Lancaster County.

Born in Homburg-Saar, Germany, she was the wife of Albert H. Schuh and the daughter of the late Josef and Elsa Stein Bonaventura. Gemma worked at RCA and was a homemaker.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Lancaster for 54 years. She was a former member of the Conestoga Country Club and enjoyed dancing at the Lancaster Leiderkrantz. She also enjoyed crocheting and knitting, but her family was her life.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, Sharon E., wife of David A. Steele, Lititz, PA and Eric, husband of Julie Schuh, Palmyra, PA; two grandchildren, Pamella Neidermyer and Hannah Schuh; two great grandchildren, Michaella Neidermyer and Jaelynn Neidermyer, and three step grandchildren, Christian Steele, Jordan Steele, and Cole Witmer. A sister, Gertrude Schroter and a brother, Dieter Bonaventura reside in Germany.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Gemma's Life Celebration Funeral Service at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with The Rev. Augustas G. Mauro officiating. Interment at Conestoga Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., P.O.
