Christian Schroeder
Christian Schroeder was born in Germany November 9, 1839. Died July 15, 1920, aged 80 years, 8 months, and 6 days.
In the year 1845 he came to America and settled in Illinois. For forty-five years he remained a resident of that state.
In 1863 he was married to Georgia Tiedau, of Illinois. This union was blessed with three sons, all of whom still live, viz; August and John of Norborne and Theodore, of Clark, Mo.
He was converted in early manhood and joined the German Evangelical church, first in Illinois and later in Norborne, Mo. He died in the faith he so long adhered to and has gone to the author of it. He was a quiet, unassuming man, industrious and a friend of all. The large attendance at his burial was the best testimonial to his popularity among his friends and neighbors.

The following out of town people were here to attend the Christian Schroeder funeral, last Friday: Theodore Schroeder, Clark, Mo.; Fred. Unnewehr, Ferd. Theener, Clara Gronefeld, Harrisonville, Mo.; Walter Schroeder, Ottawa, Kas.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helwig, Hardin.; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kugler, Richmond.
