In April 1910 Jacoba (8 years old, born in Illinois), her mother Dora Schoon (43, Holland, immigrated in 1879, 26 years married, mother of 9 living children, head, farmer at home farm), her siblings Simon (20), Lambert (18), Cornelius (16), Richard (13) and Marie (11) were living on their own but mortgaged farm in Munster, North Township, Lake County, located in the extreme northwestern part of Indiana. Her father Dirk Schoon (52, Holland, immigrated in 1866 [should be: 1867], 29 years married, head, truck farmer) was apparently then living alone on an own own farm, worth $2500, at Ridge Street in Munster, North Township.

Her father Dirk Schoon died in June 1913 in Cook County, Illinois, probably in Lansing, located south of Chicago and just west of Munster, at the age of 55 years.

In 1920 Jacoba Schoon (18, single), her mother Dora Schoon (53, widow, head) and her brother D Cornelius Schoon (25, single) were still living in North Township, Lake County, in the utter northwestern part of Indiana.

In 1930 Jacoba (28, single) and her mother Dara Schoon (64, widow, head) were (still) living in Munster [North Township], Lake County, Indiana.

In April 1940 Jacaba Schoon (38, single, sales clerk at a department store), her mother, widow Dora Schoon (73 y [should be: 74 y], head), her sister Mary Jabasy (41, widow), her nephews Richard Jabasy (15, Indiana), Cornelius Jabasy (12, Indiana), Dorn Jabasy (8, Indiana), Ronald Jabasy (4, Indiana) and her niece Janice Jabasy (2, Indiana) were living in their own home, worth $20,000 [!], in Munster, North Township, Lake County, Indiana. Jacoba and her mother Dora lived in 1935 in the same house, sister Mary and her children in an other house in Munster.

Her mother Dora died in October 1948 in Munster, Lake County, Indiana at the age of 83 years.

Jacoba Schoon died in April 1989 at the age of 87 years, very probably in Lake County, Indiana and likely in Munster.
