Mrs. Leah L. Scholer, 59, a resident of three miles east of Salamonia in Madison Township, died at 6 a.m. Monday at Portland Nursing Home. She had been in failing health several weeks.
Mrs. Scholer was born Nov. 13, 1879, the daughter of James G. and Martha (Mosier) McLaughlin, was married to Albert Scholer, who preceded her in death in 1936.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Charles Jones of Oakwood, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews. One son, four brothers, and two sisters are deceased. Mrs. Scholer was a member of the Salamonia Evangelical Methodist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Williamson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter L. Schacht officiating. Burial will be in Salalmonia Cemetery. Friends may call at the Williamson Funeral Home.
