Augusta H. "Gussie" McIlvain, age 94 of Fostoria, OH, and formerly of Toledo, passed away July 7, 2001. Mrs. McIlvain worked for the Champion Spark Plug twenty five years in the aviation department retiring in 1967. She was along time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Toledo Zoological Society and was active in the South Toledo Senior Center. In later years, she enjoyed ceramics and crafts.
She was the widow of Carl R. McIlvain. Surviving are her sons, Robert (Susan) and Earl (Winnie) McIlvain; sister, Lucille Manley; grandchildren, Jennifer (Lynn) Heyman, Joni (Joseph) Daiber, Cheryl Chandler, Terry (Cindy) McIlvain, Tamra Roberts and Dawn McIlvain; eight great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Bersticker-Scott Funeral Home, 3453 Heatherdowns Blvd. at Byrne Rd. Monday from 6-9 p.m. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. conducted by her nephew, Larry Manley, in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. Family suggest tributes in the form of contributions to Alzheimer's Association or the Boy Scouts of America.
