Mrs. Bertha A. Clark 64, of 2019 N. Huston died Monday in a local hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home with the Rev. George Updegrove officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Clark was born January 5, 1915, at Ashton to Chris and Anna Jansen Schmidt. When she was 5 she moved to Grand Island with her parents, where she received her education and grew up. On June 14, 1934, she married Earle Clark at Grand Island. Soon after they were married, Mr. Clark joined the armed services. They had made their home in Grand Island since his discharge. Mrs. Clark donated 1,750 hours as a volunteer worker for the Veteran's Administration Hospital. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sisters, Mrs. Dora West of Idaho and Mrs. Herman (Emma) Lemburg of Dannebrog and other relatives. She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
