East Peoria, IL - Gertrude R. Allison, 85, formerly of 130 N. Main, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1996, at Morton Terrace in Morton.
Born July 10, 1911, in Houston, Texas, to Harel and Cora Gertrude Davidson Schmidt, she married Floyd A. Allison on Sept. 13, 1930, in Pekin. He died June 13, 1967, in Hollywood, Fla.
Surviving are two sons, D. Ray of East Peoria and Alan H. of Bend, Ore.; one daughter, Mrs. William (Gay) Griffin of Marquette Heights; eight grandchildren; and 13 great- grandchildren.
She worked in the laundry area at the Holiday Inn in East Peoria for 10 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
