Robert 'Bob' Schmidt, age 70, of Austin, passed away on December 29, 2006. He was born on July 29, 1936 in Lockhaven, Pennsylvania to Gotlfried T. and Louise (Conklin) Schmidt.
Bob served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1975. After his retirement from the Air Force, he went back to college and earned his Associates Degree and then worked in sales until his 'second retirement' a few years ago.
Those left behind to cherish Bob's memory are his wife, Valla Ann Schmidt of Austin; daughter Suzanne Schmidt of Elgin; brothers Ted Schmidt and Dean Schmidt of Lockhaven, PA; and an extended family of friends.
There will be a visitation on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road, Austin.
