She was of German ancestry and spoke, read and wrote German. She was born in Plauen, Germany and went back for a visit in 1938 with her son, Ronald [Ron] Eugene Gotcher who was 2 years old at the time and born in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon on 06 Apr 1936.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1995, in Lincoln Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gotcher died Sept. 7 at age 93.

She was born July 15, 1902, in Ploan, Germany, and moved to Portland in 1913. Her maiden name was Schmidt.

She was business manager for Monarch Shingle Co. and retired in 1982. She previously worked for Sprouse-Reitz Co.

She had been president of the Soroptimists and the Oregon Apartment House Association.
In 1932, she married Wesley Wallace Gotcher. Surviving are her husband; son, Ronald of Portland; and two grandchildren.
