Mrs. Emil H. Schmidt, 72, R.D. 2, Springport, died in Marshall hospital Friday evening. Her husband Emil Schmidt preceded her in death in 1947. She was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Albion and the Duck Lake Farm Bureau. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Irene Taylor of Jackson and Mrs. Marjorie Bahr of Albion; four sons, Julius Schmidt of Marshall, and Walter, Herbert, and George Schmidt, all of Springport; 29 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two brothers, Fred and William Rosenau, both of Albion; two half-brothers, Charles Kopp of Springport and John Kopp of Albion; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Minnie Miller of Springport and Mrs. Ruth Robbins of Jackson. Services will be held at the Kerwin Chapel in Springport Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. E.J. Soell officiating. Interment in Springport cemetery.
