Bernhart, aged 61 years, 4 months and 20 days. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, without further notice, from her late residence, 42 S. 8th St., on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Services at the house. Interment in Charles Evans Cemetery. --- Reading Eagle-June 13, 1902-page 3 The funeral of Isabella, widow of Major L. Bernhart, took place from her residence, 42 South 8th, at 2 p.m. Rev. Dr. Bausman conducted services. The remains lay in a solid cedar casket, with heavy carving, oxidized externsion bar handles, oxidized trimmings and plate bearing name and age of deceased and date of death, and were attired in a black silk robe. The bearers were: Cyrus A. Derr, Elmer Schuyler, Charles Stamm and Edward D. Trexler. Prof. Moyer and his wife and Miss Sadie Miller sang a number of hymns. Relatives and friends were in attendance from Lewisburg, Phila., Temple, Tamaqua and other points. The tributes were beautiful and included: Pillow, "Mother," from daughter, Kate; wreath, from son Charles and wife; palms with carnations, from Edward and Ralph Leinbach and Franklin Dreibelbis; carnations, from Baker, Adaline and Sara Bernhart, grandchildren; flat bouquet of carnations, from Mrs. Sara Bernhart and family; lilies and carnations, from a friend; 61 cream colored roses, from Charles Stamm; flat bouquet of roses, Mrs. A. S. Easat, and family; flat bouquet of pink roses, Messrs. Derr, Schuyler and Trexler; sheaf of wheat with roses from I. Newton Troxell, Phila.; pink carnations, Mr. and Mrs. John Shepp. Interment in Charles Evans cemetery. Funeral direction, F. F. Seidel.
