Carol Remund Schlappi, age 82, died peacefully on September 4, 1999 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was born September 28, 1916 in Midway, Utah to Fredrick Remund Jr. and Anna Elfreda Jaspersen.
Carol attended BYU on a music scholarship and there met her husband, Lloyd K. Schlappi. They were married on June 3, 1936 in the Manti Temple. They recently celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary.
Carol was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Many were touched by her quiet example of service and caring.
Carol is survived by her husband Lloyd of Orem; three sons, L. Kent (Shannon Allred) Schlappi of Salt Lake City; Larry R. (Patricia Palmer) Schlappi and Roger K. (Alane Swenson) Schlappi, both of Orem; and one daughter Carolyn Schlappi (Kay) Mangelson, of Boise, Idaho. Carol is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild; one brother, Grant P. Remund of Midway, Utah; one sister, Grace Owen of Wellsville, Utah.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 1999 at the Aspen 2nd Ward chapel, 1485 North 800 West, Orem, Utah. Friends may call on Friday, September 10th from 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, of Orem, 500 North State Street, or at the ward chapel on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. prior to services.
Internment will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
