Edith F. Becker, age 90, a resident of the Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died early Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2003 at the Hamilton Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2003 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William G. O'Brien, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Edith was born June 8, 1913 in the town of Mishicot, daughter of the late John and Julia (Rockwell) Schimmel. On March 4, 1930, she married Arnold Becker in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death Nov. 13, 1974. Together, the couple farmed in the town of Two Rivers for many years. Edith was a charter member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, where she volunteered many hours of service, served on various committees and was a member of the church choir.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Betty Schneider, Two Rivers; Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Brose, Manitowoc; and Mrs. Leigh (Jan) Coenen, Mishicot; two sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Jean Becker and Robert and Kay Becker, all of Two Rivers; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister: Jeanette Klein, Green Bay; one brother: Bob Schimmel, Francis Creek; and two sisters-in-law: Mildred Menchal, Two Rivers; and Marion Kramp, St. Louis, Mo.

Relatives and friends may call at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers, after 9:30 a.m. on Friday until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. There will be no Thursday evening visitation. Memorials will be made in her honor.
