Illinois September 11, 1869 and died at Hot Springs, Arkansas, November
16, 1931. He was living at Portageville, Missouri. Interment was made in
the Odd Fellows cemetery at Ringling, Wednesday, November 18, 1931.
He has been seriously ill at Portageville before being removed to Hot
Springs. He was a single man and was well known around Ringling and
Healdton where he engaged in oil storage tank construction work during the
oil boom days. He built the first tank in Healdton.
He was a Christian and a member of the Presbyterian church. Funeral
services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Ringling Methodist
church with REV. THOMAS A. FOWLER officiating.
He is survived by a sister, MRS. ANDREW BRANCH of Ringling, three
brothers, FRED SCHEHRER of Ringling, EDWARD SCHEHRER of Brookfield,
Missouri, and CHARLES SCHEHRER of Tulsa, a sister-in-law and several
nieces and nephews from Miami, all of whom were present at the funeral.
