Dorothea Bauer, 91, wife of Reverend Peter Bauer, passed away at her home in Leola Friday evening. Funeral services were held at Leola at 11 a.m. Wednesday and at Eureka at 2 p.m., the same day. Interment being made in the Eureka cemetery.
She was born December 19, in Johannesthal, South Russia, and was married on May 22, 1879, to Peter Bauer, also of Johannestahl. Ten of their 14 children were born in South Russia, the rest in Eureka. Her husband and 11 children survive her.
The family has resided in Leola since 1927.
