Mabel I. Curry, 83, of Billings, passed away at her home Saturday, Dec. 29, 2007.
The daughter of Clyde and Gertrude Scharf, Mabel was born Aug. 30, 1924, in Pittsburgh, where she was raised and educated.
She married Robert Curry in Pittsburgh on Aug. 30, 1943. Mr. Curry made his career in the Air Force. During the war, she volunteered as a Grey Lady. Devoted to raising her family, Mabel was involved in scouts and other youth groups as her children grew up. After her husband's retirement in 1968, they made their home in Spokane, Wash., moving to Billings in 1997.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2002; and a grandson, J.R. Curry.
Survivors include her son, Scott Curry and his wife Liz of Spokane; two daughters, Barbara Carrier and Kathie Curry of Billings; grandchildren, Troy, Dustin and Amanda Curry, Alyssa Carrier and Thomas Beck; and great-grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Devon, Abegail, Veronica and Nolan Curry and Junior Feuntes.
Cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park.
