Col Scharf's Sister Dead
Mrs. Charles W. Barker Passes Away in San Francisco
Word was received yesterday in Baltimore of the death from pneumonia of Mrs. Charles W. Barker, daughter of the late Thomas G. Scharf and sister of the late Col J. Thomas Scharf historian of Baltimore. Her death occured at her home in San Francisco after an illness of about a week.
Mrs. Barker left Baltimore with her husband about 20 years ago. She is survived by seven children -- Misses Anna, Elizabeth and May Barker and Charles W. of Washington; Thomas, Tunis D[ean] and Joseph Barker.
She also leaves three sisters -- Mrs. J. Abner Sayler, mother of the magistrate of the Western district; Mrs. Thomas Campbell and Mrs. Theresa Hoff.
