Dale Leroy Schall, of Litchfield, Nebraska, passed away, October 10, 2009, at Mount Carmel Home Keens Memorial in Kearney, Nebraska.

He was born October 2, 1929, in Custer County, Nebraska to James and Olive (Crosley) Schall.

He was educated at Basin School and graduated from Mason City, Nebraska High School. He worked construction in Kearney, Nebraska area.

He served in the U.S. Army from July 24, 1951, to May 1, 1953.

On Dec. 2, 1951, he married Louana Douglas in Litchfield, Nebraska.

He and his wife made their home on a farm in the Round Grove community. They moved to Litchfield, Nebraska in 1999.

He worked at Becton-Dickinsonin Broken Bow, Nebraska for 25 years.

He was a lifetime member of the Mason City American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife Louana Schall of Litchfield, Nebraska; sons, Dan Schall and his wife, Linda, of Broken Bow, Nebraska, John Schall and his wife, Linda, of Kearney, Nebraska and Darrell Schall and his wife, Jodi, of Litchfield, Nebraska; daughters, Vicky Hurt and her husband, Gary, of Grand Island, Nebraska and Bonnie Fulmer and her husband, Rod, and Renee Schall Milligan, all of Kearney, Nebraska; sisters, Dorothy Adams of Mason City, Nebraska and Phyllis Baltz of Loup City, Nebraska; and brothers, Norman Schall of Loup City, Nebraska, Robert Schall and Lyle Schall, both of Broken Bow, Nebraska and Eldon Schall of Litchfield, Nebraska .
