Madras resident Mauricia R. "Marty" Graves died Feb. 13, 2004, at the age of 66.
Mrs. Graves was born Aug. 20, 1937, in Dickinson, N.D., to parents Fred and Jean (Eyster) Schaff. On June 7, 1945, she and Wesley Graves were married in Stevenson, Wash.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed her children and grandchildren, crocheting, doing handcrafts, camping and gardening. She was a member of the Metolius Friends Church.
Survivors include her husband, Wesley Graves of Madras; sons, Lynn Graves of Bonanza, Ore., Corey and Tracy Graves, both of Metolius; daughters, Tanya Graves-Canady and Melinda Schjoll, both of Metolius; brother, Melvin Schaff of Portland; sister, Georgia Schiwal of Spearfish, S.D.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Feb. 18, at the Metolius Friends Church, with arrangements under the direction of Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Metolius Friends Church Mission Trip.
