Joyce Ann Schaeffer Lamberty, of Arnold passed away Oct. 4, 2008, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

She was born April 11, 1934, in Carroll County, Iowa, the only child of Albert and Gladys Scheidegger Schaeffer. She grew up in Jolly, Iowa. She was united in marriage June 5, 1951, to Joseph Lamberty in Lake City, Iowa. In 1956 they moved to Nebraska.

Six children were born to this union: Doug (Cathy) Lamberty, of North Platte; Sue (Kent) DeLosh, Pam (Jim) Long, Nyla (Dale) Walker, and Patty Lamberty, all of Arnold; and Wayne (Mary) Lamberty, of Callaway.

Her home was filled with her love of sunflowers and cats. Embroidery was her special hobby, and her children's homes are filled with her beautiful work.

She cooked for many years at the Model Cafe and D.J.'s. Her cooking was well known to everyone.

Survivors include all six children and their spouses. Grandchildren include: Aimee (Wade) Petray, Mandy (Jason) Gale, Marie (Arttie) Parker, Donnell DeLosh, Monti Lamberty, Jimi (Jeff) Cole, Kade (Sheila) Long, and Meri Jo (Ben) Kadner. Great-grandchildren include: Brandon and Alyson Petray, Jaydon Parker, Isaak and Landyn Cole, and soon to be granddaughter, Peyton Kadner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Joe.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Arnold with Father Antony Thekkekara officating. Rosary and wake services will be Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Arnold Funeral Home.
