Former Saukville resident Marie F. Albinger, who was living at Cedar Lake Communities in West Bend, died Monday, March 26. She was 88.
Mrs. Albinger was born in St. Michaels on Oct. 6, 1918, the daughter of Anton and Catherine Berris Schaeffer.
On June 22, 1946, she married Clarence O. Albinger at Sr. Michaels Church St. Michaels. Mr. Albinger died in 2001.
Mr. Albinger, who lived on North Dries Street before moving to West Bend, was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Saukville and the Catholic Order of Foresters. She was a former member of the Christian Mothers.
She enjoyed needlework and sewing.
Mrs. Albinger is survived by three children, Janet Durante of Reno, Nev., Gilbert of Port Washington and Donald (Holly Roge) of New Berlin; and seven grandchildren.
She is further survived by three sisters, Ann Bruendl of Las Vegas, Rose Gross of Port Washington and Eleanor (Frank) Herriges of West Bend; brother John (Florence) Schaeffer of Waukesha; brother-in-law Lawrence (Marian) of Cedarburg; and sister-in-law Doris (Ray) Thelen of Plymouth.
In addition to her husband Clarence, she was preceded in death by her brothers Lawrence Schaeffer and Edward Schaeffer and daughter-in-law Terry Albinger.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31, at Immaculate Conception in Saukville. Father Karl Acker will officiate.
Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 until Mass Saturday.
Interment will be next to her husband in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saukville.
