MRS. ANNA KRAUS
Mrs. Anna Kraus, 56, Mt. Calvary, R. 1, died unexpectedly at 2:50 p.m. Monday at her home.
Born in the community Dec. 24, 1899, the daughter of John and Mary Dietzen Schaefer, she was married May 23, 1922, to Edward Kraus in Holy Cross church at Mt. Calvary.
Surviving are the widower; six children, Mrs. Leo Morgan, Johnsburg, Mrs. Francis Schumacher, St. Cloud, Mrs. Jerome Baus, Eden, Melvin, St. Joe, Benno, Marytown, and Joann, at home; 11 grandchildren; five brothers, Frank, Mt. Calvary, Joseph, Marytown, John, North Fond du Lac, Edward, city, and Henry, Mt. Calvary; four sisters, Mrs. Edward Sabel, Mt. Calvary, Mrs. George Schmitz, St. Peter, Mrs. William Kraus, Mt. Calvary, and Sister Mary Gaspard, a Notre Dames sister, at Harbor Springs, Mich.
Mrs. Kraus was a member of the Christian Mothers society and of the Third Order of St. Francis.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:30a.m. at the Lisowe Funeral home, St. Cloud, where the body will be in state after 7 p.m. today, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Cross church, Mt. Calvary, with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Ephrem Hertel, O.F.M. Cap., will officiate.
