Doris Ann Schaaf, 70, Erhard, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, in her home.
Doris Clement was born Sept. 2, 1931, in Breckenridge, Minn. She grew up and attended school in Battle Lake, Minn., and Fergus Falls, Minn., graduating in 1948. She worked for Fergus Falls State Hospital. She was married to Roger Dahlen for four years. In 1955, she married Charlie Schaaf. They lived in Montana, where she worked for Northern Pacific Railroad, and Minneapolis, where she worked for 20th Century Fox and MGM. They moved near Fergus Falls, where she drove truck. She lived in Nashville, Tenn., where she wrote songs, including "Toddy for the Body," and worked for Roger Miller's King of the Road and The Maxwell House.
Visitation: Sunday from 5-7, with a prayer service at 7, in Olson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls, and one hour before the funeral in the church.
Funeral: Monday at 10:30 in St. James Catholic Church, Maine, Minn.
Burial: St. James Catholic Cemetery, Maine
