EDITH MAE FARMER
Edith Mae Farmer, 89, of Crossville, passed away Aug. 5, 2000. Funeral
services were conducted Aug. 7 from the chapel of Bilbrey Funeral Home, with
burial in Hebbertsburg Cemetery. Bro. Noble Wright officiated.
Mrs. Farmer was born April 9, 1911, in Cumberland County, the daughter of
William Henry and Facha Pippin Scarlett.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Edith Juanita and George Paul
of Crossville; four sons and daughters-in-law, Herman Freelan and Beulah
Farmer of Dayton, OH, Dan and Margie Farmer of Chula Vista, CA, Dean and
Cecelia Farmer of Limestone, TN, and Jerry and Karen Farmer of Crossville;
11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and
several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Farmer; a son, Leland Bud
Farmer; and four brothers, Carl Scarlett, Luther Scarlett, Herman Scarlett
and Fred Scarlett.
Pallbearers were Larry Farmer, Randy Farmer, Doug Farmer, George Edd Paul,
Jimmy Green and Jerry Paul Reagan.
Bilbrey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
