She was born in Stoneville, N.C., on Oct. 19, 1919, to Thomas R. Scales Sr. and Estalla S. Scales. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bank E. Price.
She had been employed by Macky Vendor Service at DuPont as head cook. She was a member of Mt. Zion AME Church, Willing Workers Club, missionary, senior choir, Steward Board, trustees and Usher Board.
Surviving are a brother, Marvin V. Scales of Eden, N.C., and a nephew of Martinsville.
