Born in Chicago, he died Saturday, July 19, 2003, at the Alexian Brothers Hospice House. Interment will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery.
Edward was the beloved husband of Jackie Sbertoli (nee Kohler) for 63 years; the dear father of James (Glenna), Terry (Donna) and Joy (Patrick) McKeown; cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Kurt) Kreiter, Andrea (Eric) Peoples, Edward (Tara) Sbertoli, Kimberly Sbertoli, Lynn (Michael) Hettermann, and Christopher and Jacqueline McKeown; proud great-grandfather of Casey, Haley, Rebecca, Jacob, Jimmy, Ryan, Taylor and Kaylee; and the fond brother of Marie (the late John) Corsiglia.
Visitation will be from 3-9pm today, at the Grove Memorial Chapel, 1199 S. Arlington Heights Road (three blocks south of Biesterfield Road), Elk Grove Village, and from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the church, where he will lie in state.
