Velma C. Sayre Sekema, 76, died at 7:30 AM Monday [May 11, 1987] in her Lafayette home, following several years of ill-health. Born June 30, 1910, in Lafayette, she spent most of her life here. She married Clarence W. Sekema on May 22, 1942. He was a self-employed carpenter who died Oct. 13, 1984. Mrs. Sekema formerly worked at the old Brown Rubber Company. She is survived by a half-brother, Robert V. Hilt, of Lafayette.
