She was born September 5th, 1934 in Harlan County, Kentucky and was the daughter of Elizabeth (Saylor) the late Dock Saylor.
She was a waitress for many years and had worked at the Clock Restaurant in Florida. Her greatest enjoyment came from being a homemaker and raising not only her children, but some of her extended family. She was a member of the Mormon Church for years and attended faithfully. Fannie loved to sew, quilt, garden and play the piano and organ.
She is survived gy her husband, James Richard Callahan; daughter, Leuna Callahan of Ft. Myers, Fl.; sons, Chris (wife-Betty) Callahan of Winchester and Jerry Wayne Callahan of Eaton; daughter, Charlotte Benoit of Taylor, Arizona; her mother, Elizabeth Saylor; thirteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; two sisters, Lily Holly and Edna Saylor; one brother, Oscar Saylor; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Many very special friends also survive.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy Gibson, who died in October of 1993.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 20th, at the Main & Davis Funeral Home, Astor Main Blue River Chapel located midway between Mooreland and Mt. Summit on Indiana 36. Branch President Keith Williams officiated. Burial followedin the Mooreland Cemetery.
