Funeral services for Opal Dee Bruce, 83, of Olney were held Sunday, Nov. 27, in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating.
Interment followed in Restland Cemetery with arrangements under direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bruce was born Jan. 15,1922, in Whitesboro to the late George C. and Marguerite (Webb) Savage. She died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, in Olney.
She and Alvah D. Bruce were married Jan. 22, 1938, in Sadler. He preceded her in death May 25,1993.
Mrs. Bruce was a retired L.V. N. who had worked several years for Hamilton Hospital.
She had also been employed by Haggar Slacks, Perkins Timberlake and Cub Drug.
She was a member of Hamilton Street Church of Christ. She moved to Olney in 1945 from Knox City.
Survivors include a daughter Juanette Heard of Olney; a sister Syble Young of Abilene; two grandchildren Belinda Camp and Stacey Heard, both of Olney; six great-grandchildren Dustin Heard, Shannon Campbell, Grant Campbell, Brandon Everett, Ciarra Heard and Dylan Heard; and a greatgreat- granddaughter Hannah Heard.
