Kathleen Maldonado, 76, of Salinas, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family and friends at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Council Bluff, Iowa. Kathleen was a parishoner of Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending gatherings with family and friends.
Survivors: Husband, Antonio Maldonado of Salinas; daughter, Rosann (Richard) Marquez of Salinas; sons, Fernando (Saabi) Lopez of Salinas and Vincent (Mary) Maldonado of Salinas; grandchildren, Jason, Hayden, Richard, Amanda, Haley, Erika, Hope and Holley; great-granddaughter, Allison; sisters, Jackie, Eleanor, Vickie, Delores and Beatrice; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.
Visitation: From 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas.
Rosary: 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, at Healey Mortuary.
Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Madonna Del Sasso Catholic Church, 320 E. Laurel Dr. Salinas.
Burial: Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas.
Memorials: Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 945 S. Main St., Salinas, Calif. 93901.
