Mrs. Bean was born Feb. 6, 1914, at Foosland, to Fred and Martha Myers Sartain. She married Loren D. Bean on Nov. 21, 1936, in Bushnell. He passed away in December 1995.
She is survived by three children, Carole L. (Dale) Hillard, Loren D. (Grace) Bean and E. Christine (Richard) Benson, all of LeRoy; eight grandchildren, Vicki (Tim) Gnagey, LeRoy; Michael (Betty) Hillard, LeRoy; Steven (Christine) Hillard, Mahomet; Christi (Matt) Lowell, Chicago; Becky (Tim) Miller, Bloomington; Kim (Jay) Ruckman, Kankakee; Cindy (Steve) Ohms, Rogers, Minn.; and Martha (Ralph) Katz, Burr Ridge; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Faye Manahan, LeRoy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters.
Lillie was a member of LeRoy Christian Church, where she was a very active participant for many years as a Sunday school teacher and a willing worker on many other church activities.
Lillie will always be remembered for her love of family, her interest in reading, and her sweet and gentle manner. She will be deeply missed by all her family.
