Helen L. Brandon, 76, of Center Township died Sunday at her home after a long illness.
Born Feb. 23, 1927, in Butler, she was a daughter of Katherine Sanford Beals and Harry Sanford.
She had attended St. Peter School and retired as a waitress at Morgan's Diner after 15 years.
Mrs. Brandon was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed playing bingo and camping.
Surviving are four sons, Carl "Gib," Roy G., and Michael P. Brandon, all of Butler, and Richard L. Brandon of West Sunbury; three daughters, Heidi M. Scheerbaum of Slippery Rock, Melissa L. Young of West Sunbury and Melinda L. Kaufold of Butler; and a sister, Frances Morrison of Butler. Seven grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren also survive.
Her husband, Carl Brandon, whom she married March 10, 1956, died Dec. 16, 1999. A sister also preceded her in death.
BRANDON - There will be no visitation. A memorial service for Helen L. Brandon, who died Sunday, Feb. 8, 2004, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the mausoleum chapel at Calvary Cemetery. The Rev. Harry Bielewicz, pastor of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
