Dilia Angelina Cordova, age 79, passed away on September 1, 2011 at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque following an illness.

Dilia was born in Delia, NM to the home of Miguel and Theordieta (Chavez) Sandoval. She was reared and attended schools in Delia. She married Onesimo Cordova on July 4, 1953. Dilia was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Church and a member of the Sociedad del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus. She loved to embroider, watch Spanish programs, listen to Spanish music, doing crossword puzzles. She was faithful in watching daily mass on TV and she loved spending time with her family.

Dilia is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter; Irene Christine Cordova, a son in law; Antonio R. Sena, sisters; Amelia Sandoval, Josephine Romero, Corrine Lucero and Estella Perea, her brothers; Estevan Sandoval and Orlando Sandoval. Survivors include her husband, Onesimo of the family home in Santa Rosa, her daughters; Elaine Sena, Ernestine Encinias and husband David, her brother; Eloy Sandoval, Grandchildren; Christine Chavez, Elizabeth Encinias, Estevan Encinias, Alex Encinias, John Michael Sena and wife Nancy, Catherine Sena and Jessica Sellsand husband Mark. Also surviving are her great grandchildren; Pablo, Felisha and Christian Chavez, Ryan Nelson, Jozette Angelina Sells, Rebekah Tillie Sells, Emily Madison Sena and Ambrosia Sena along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.

Rosary services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 at 7:00 PM from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2:00 PM also from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Joseph Thomas, CMI officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Serving as Pallbearers will be; Estevan Encinias, Alex Encinias, Dennis Gonzales, Paul Chavez and Tony Cordova, Jr.and Gregory Lopez, Jr. All services for Mrs. Cordova have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
