Eula Fern Cox, age 94, of Monroe, Utah, passed away March 1, 2008 in Richfield, Utah. She was born April 14, 1913, in Marion County, Illinois to Edgar and Arkadel Martin Sanders. She married Wayne Cox (1906-1995), January 10, 1934, in Walnut Hill, Illinois. He preceded her in death September 25, 1995.
Fern was a champion Senior Citizen Quilter. She was honored for donating many hours of quilting time at the Senior Citizen Center in Monroe. She liked to bake, especially rhubarb pie. She was loved by many.
She is the mother of Paula Blackburn Norby, Monroe; the grandmother of James (Nadine) Blackburn, III, Monroe; and Kimberly (Erick) Sibert, Kansas City, MO; she has five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Jan Cox and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers and sisters.
Cremation services were held. Memorial services for Wayne and Fern will be Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Magleby Mortuary. Graveside services will be in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
