Ruby Amos, 88, Eldon, died Friday at the Eldon Health Care Nursing Home. She was born June 10, 1906, at Poplar Bluff, a daughter of Elmer and Oma Sanders. She was married March 27, 1926, at California, to Halcy Amos, who died Aug 18, 1986.
Before their retirement in 1971, she and her husband owned and operated the Amos Café in Russellville. She was a member of the Ninth Street Christian Church, Eldon.
Survivors include: four daughters, Geraldine Runge, Deland, Fla., Lylis March, Russellville, Joyce Bledsoe, Olean, and Linda Smittle, Jefferson City; one sister, Irene Jaworski, Ann Arbor, Mich., 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Weber & Sons Funeral Chapel, Russellville, with the Rev. Don Renken officiating. Burial will be in the Johnston Cemetery, Jefferson City. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m.
