Allie Sanders Hirschi
Allie Sanders Hirschi, Age 90, Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully due to a stroke in the St. George, Utah hospital on May 15, 2013. Born to Clarence and Hazel DeMille Sanders on May 14, 1923 in St. George, Utah. She was raised in LaVerkin, UT and graduated from Hurricane High School in 1941. Married Wesley E. Hirschi in St. George in 1942 and later Sealed in the Salt Lake Temple September 6, 1987. Allie and Wes were Married 70 and ½ years. She and Wes spent many years raising their family in Salt Lake City. They returned to LaVerkin in 1983. They enjoyed their trips to Arizona and the friends they made there. Allie served in the church in various callings including a faithful visiting teacher and den mother. She spent her lifetime in serving and caring for her dear parents and other family members and friends. Her hands were always busy quilting, crocheting and creating beautiful things.
Proceeded in death by her parents and her sister Cleo (Owen) Burgess, and her brother, Mont Sanders. A special thank you to Jenallie, Allie's granddaughter for all her tender loving care as well as Diana, her niece for being there in her final moments as well as all those caregivers who provided service to Allie over the years.
Funeral Services will be held Monday May 20th at 1:00 pm in the LaVerkin 6th Ward LDS Chapel. A Viewing will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the same location. Interment will be in the LaVerkin City Cemetery. Arrangement are under the care of Heideman Hughes Mortuary 435-674-5000.
