Genevieve Marion Sanders, 86, of Fort Smith died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2002, in Fort Smith.
She was born and raised in Hot Springs, Va.
She and was a member of Goddard United Methodist Church and a homemaker.
She was the widow of Captain Ernest Sanders.
Funeral was noon Tuesday at Goddard United Methodist Church with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
She is survived by a daughter, Susan Horton of Fort Smith; a son, Frank R. Sanders of North Olmsted, Ohio; two brothers, Roy H. Hodge Jr. of Danville, Va., Wayne E. Hodge of Staunton, Va.; four sisters, Dorothy Hurt of Williamsburg, Va., Paige Wheeler of Roanoke, Va., Bettie Compton of Waynesboro, Va., and Wanda Smith of Staunton; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were members of her family.
