Beatrice E. Sánchez, age 78, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at her residence in Las Vegas, New Mexico surrounded by her family.
Beatrice was born on February 12, 1936 in Las Dispensas, New Mexico to the late Bernardino Mascareas and Dulcinea Montoya-Mascareas.
Beatrice worked as a Medical Records Clerk for eighteen years at the New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute. Beatrice was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Beatrice enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, Bernardino and Dulcinea Mascareas, husband, Eloy Sánchez, grandson, Gillie Sánchez and son-in-law, Joseph Jaramillo.
Beatrice is survived by her sons and daughters, Adrian Sánchez, Clyde Sánchez and Irene Encinias, Gilbert Sánchez and his wife, Joyce, John Sánchez and his wife, Carla, Isabel Jaramillo and Christy Rodarte, Dorothy Sánchez and Terrance Flores, Charlene Silva and her husband, Larry, all of Las Vegas, NM, Sheila Jaramillo and her husband, Jake of Albuquerque, NM, grandson she raised, Robert Sánchez and Samantha Sandoval of Las Vegas, NM, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, brother and sisters, Roger Mascareas and his wife, Jackie of Santa Fé, NM, Lillian Nieto and her husband, Felipe of Las Vegas, NM, Lupe Romero and her husband, Max of Santa Fé, NM, Sadie Dunagan of Los Alamos, NM and Christine Garner of Albuquerque, NM, sisters-in-law, Mary Mascare of Santa Fé, NM, Eleanor Aragón of Las Vegas, NM, Rosalia Lovato and her husband, Al of Nambe, NM, Lena Ortiz and her husband, Abedon Jr. of Pojoaque, NM, Betty Sánchez of Pueblo, CO, brothers-in-law, Arcenio Sánchez and his wife, Theresa of Pueblo, CO, Eduardo Sánchez and his wife, Jenny of Albuquerque, NM, Alfredo Sánchez and his wife, Gloria, Joe Sánchez and his wife, Flora and Lorenzo Sánchez and his wife, Margaret all of Las Vegas, NM.
Rosary services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 at 9:00 a.m., also at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father George V, Salazar as celebrant. Interment will follow at Nuestra Señora del Refugio in Los Vigiles, NM with the following serving as Casket Bearers, Antoinette Gonzáles, Amanda Flores, Yvonne "Buffy" Jaramillo, Candice Flores, Brandi Rodarte, Samantha Jaramillo, Crystalrae Romero and Savannah Sánchez. Serving as Honorary Bearers will be all her grandsons and great-grandchildren.
