this stone in 1997: Old, small, dark,
green slate with most of face scaled
Drew #1120: Blue slate 2 1/2 feet high.
Surface of upper half, and right portion
of lower, scaled off, and have disappeared.

Not yourth nor parts, nor friends could save,
The unsuspecting victim from the grave
Like a fair flower that fades in early bloom,
In life's bright morn he het his early tomb
Tho' harsh the stroke and most severe the rod
Cease mourner cease - It was a stroke from God.
This stone is broken.
On the foot-stone is inscribed:
