Born in Louisdale, she was a daughter of the late Alphonso and Delina (Samson) Samson. She is survived by daughters, Cheryl and companion Dan, Sydney; Linda, Patsy and companion Danny, Donna (Mario), all of Halifax; Rita (D.J.), Dartmouth; Theresa, Louisdale; sons, Arthur (Cecile), Wayne (Deltina), both of Louisdale; Willie, Halifax; brothers, Francis (Frances), Sudbury, Ont.; Jeffrey (Jeanette), Toronto; Rudolph (Stella), Willie (Nan), both of Louisdale; 24 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Sydney Baigent; daughter, Rosalie; sister, Theresa; brother, James. Visitation this evening for family members only please from 7-9 p.m., and for family and friends on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., both in the Glen Sampson Room in Louisdale. Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Mary, will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m. in St. Louis Catholic Church in Louisdale, officiated by Rev. Gary MacPherson. Burial to follow in St. Louis Parish Cemetery, Louisdale. Memorial donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to C.H. Boudreau Funeral Home in Arichat.
