Seymore served as a Seaman Second Class in the Seabees, U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided at 41 Kelly, Rochester, Monroe County, New York prior to the war. He enlisted in the Navy prior to the war on October 18, 1941 in Rochester, New York. He was married.

Seymour died of a heart attack in line of duty in the Solomon Islands, Pacific area, during the war.

He was first interred overseas and later he was the first Jewish soldier returned to Monroe County to be re-interred here.

Son of Samuel Sallenson who resided in Rochester, New York.
