Services were held at First Presbyterian Church, Battle Creek, Iowa, with Rev. Benjamin Ray officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Battle Creek.
She married Duane Maxwell Nov 3, 1945, in Marysville, Ks. The couple lived in Battle Creek for a time, then moved to Wisconsin. They most recently made their home in Sutherland. He died in 1997.
Survivors include a son, Larry W. Maxwell and his special friend Pam of Calumet; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother and his wife, Lou Dale and Helen Sales of Battle Creek; and 4 sisters, Waunita Kenning of Osseo, Wis, Kathryn Kessler of Storm Lake, Iowa; Margaret and her husband, Harold Austin of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and LaVohn and her husband, Lyle Tietsort of Battle Creek
