Funeral services for Mrs. Eugenia Louis Bassman, 75, of 1415 Hough Park Road, will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., at the Buescher Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Bassman died at The Heritage Nursing Home, Columbia, Wednesday afternoon, after an illness of three years.

Officiating at services will be the Rev. Robert G. Hermann. Burial will be in Evangelical Section of the Riverview Cemetery.

A member of the Central United Church of Christ, Mrs. Bassman attended the Jefferson City schools and made her home here most of her life.

She was born Oct. 16, 1892, the daughter of Eugene L. and Sarah Jones Sayles. She was married March 29, 1917, at Jefferson City, to Oscar William Bassman, who died Nov. 18, 1965.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. John L. Sullivan, Jefferson City, Mrs. Alva J. Nester, Peculiar, and Mrs. Paul B. Lewis, Muskogee, Okla.; two brothers, Emory Bowman and Virgil Bowman, both of Jefferson City; one sister, Mrs. John B. O'Rear, Jefferson City; and 12 grandchildren.
