Ramón Gilberto Salazar passed peacefully, surrounded by his family on September 27, 2013 in Denver, CO.
Ramón was born on July 8, 1934 to the late Pedro and Carmelita Lucero Salazar in San Ignacio, NM.
Ramón was married to the late Carmen Montoya and late life companion, Gloria Naranjo.
Ramón preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Salazar, life companion, Gloria Naranjo, sister, Nicolasa Solano and brother, Eutimio Salazar.
Ramón is survived by his four children, Isabel García and her husband, John, Ray Salazar and his wife, Mabel, Marlene Salazar and her husband, Adan Hernández and George Salazar all of Denver, Colorado, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Dave Salazar, Pete Salazar, Larry Salazar, Paul Salazar, Ernest Salazar, Dolores Silva, Theresa Salazar, Josie Castellano and Mary Mascarenas and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Rosary services will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Las Vegas, NM. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church with Father Douglas Mitchell as Celebrant. Interment will follow at San Ignacio Cemetery in San Ignacio, NM with the following serving as casket bearers, Ray Salazar, George Salazar, John García, Adan Hernández, Carlos Ramírez and Ryan Salazar.
