Stella left this life just as she lived it; with strength, grace, and dignity. She will be greeted in heaven by her departed daughter, Renee; granddaughter, Denise; mother, Marian; father, Romelo; and brother, Romelo Jr. Salazar. She is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Senator Michael Alarid Sr.,"Tata," 87; her siblings, Margaret Chavez and Rudolpho Salazar; children, Michael and wife, Barbara, Elizabeth and husband, Stephen, Estella, Luciana, and Celena; her grandchildren, Jason and wife, Chevonne, Michelle, Vanessa, Roberto, Renee, Tara, and Michael III; and great-grandchildren, Renee, Isaiah, Elizabeth, Gabriela, Angelica, and Valdejan.
Nana was an indomitable spirit, and she was the heart and energy of our family. Her red chili was perfection and her house immaculate. Nana was a force to be reckoned with, always giving you a hard time, but teaching respect, honor and love - that was how you knew she loved you. Even as old age slowed her down, her spirit never faltered. She was stronger than all of us put together. There are no words that can sum up what you mean to us. You are the foundation for all our lives and are irreplaceable.
