Services for Lorena Salas Aguilera, 42 of Elkhart, were held 11:00 AM Monday, January 20, 2014 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, with Bro. Charles Pyle officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Palestine. Lorena Salas Aguilera was born on January 4, 1972, the daughter of Teresa Aguilera Marufo and Miguel Agustin Salas Garcia. She went to be with her Lord Wednesday January 15, 2014. Lorena was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Nothing was more important to her than her family. Lorena brought a light to the lives of everyone she came in contact with. She never met a stranger always eager to share her Lord. She was a rock to everyone with her faith and trust in Jesus. She was involved in every ministry at her church home of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She is survived by her parents and her three children, sons; Alexander Salcedo and Gary Salcedo, daughter, Fernanda (Fenny) Salcedo, brothers; Miguel Salas and wife Tina Alvarado, Felipe Salas and wife Yuridia Moncada, sister Celina Salas and husband Cesar Ramirez, Rosalia Salas and husband Aldo Aguilar, fiance Sandy Dixon, best friend Angie Pierson and numerous nephews and nieces. Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday and from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday at Bailey & Foster.
