INDIAN ORCHARD - John J. Sagan, Sr., 88, passed away April 1, 2013 at Wingate at Hampden surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chicopee to the late Martin and Mary (Orszak) Sagan, he was a lifelong area resident and was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church. John served in the Army during WWII and was a member of the Polish American Veterans Club of Wilbraham. He had worked for Uniroyal as a shipper. He was an avid bowler and golfer. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six siblings, Joseph, Raymond, and Leo Sagan, Helen Cyran, Anna LaPlante and Rose Rogalski. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Jennie (Tupek) Sagan; a son, John J. Sagan, Jr. and his wife Joan of Indian Orchard; a brother, Edward Sagan of Chicopee and a grandson, John M. Sagan of Indian Orchard. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 assembling at 10:00 a.m. at Nowak Funeral & Cremation Services and proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. A Calling Hour will be held prior to the funeral from 9:00-10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 25 Parker St., Indian Orchard MA 01151.
